This unique vintage bookend is crafted from what is likely richly variegated onyx marble, featuring natural earth tones in warm browns, greens, and ochres. The stepped, graduated design gives it a sculptural presence reminiscent of stacked books, making it both functional and decorative. Polished to a smooth finish on all sides, the piece exhibits natural veining and textural variations inherent to the stone. The bottom remains unpolished; showing tool marks consistent with hand-finishing.Minor edge wear is present, consistent with age.
A striking addition to a desk, library, or shelf, this solid onyx bookend offers both visual interest and weighty stability. Good vintage condition with some minor surface wear and small chips to edges.
