The back is decorated with stars.

The interior is lined, concealing its screw-mounted base, which features a representation of the Emperor standing before military symbols, emblems of France's grandeur during his reign.

This representation is undetectable, as the various elements are perfectly fitted.

Small everyday or collectible objects, these seditious boxes, beneath their unassuming appearance, concealed a true political message, expressing opposition or challenge to the established power. Most "pro-Napoleon I" boxes were created during the Restoration period.
