This is a fabulous Vintage Regency Revival triple pillar dining table by the master cabinetmaker William Tillman with twelve swag-back … Read more This is a fabulous Vintage Regency Revival triple pillar dining table by the master cabinetmaker William Tillman with twelve swag-back dining chairs, circa 1980 in date. The table is made of stunning solid flame mahogany and stands on three "gun barrel" turned columns with quadruple-swept reeded sabre-leg bases terminating in brass caps and casters. It has two leaves that can be added or removed as required. This makes it a versatile dining table which can comfortably seat twelve people. This table and chairs were purchased at great expense from the master cabinet maker William Tillman, from Harrods Knightsbridge, London in the 1980s. The underside bears labels for William Tillman. The superb set of twelve Hepplewhite Revival shield-back dining chairs with upholstered backs were beautifully handcrafted from solid mahogany. The set comprises ten side chairs and two armchairs, all of which feature an attractive shield-back design, backs and seats that are upholstered in the finest light grey fabric and they stand on square tapering front legs that terminate in spade feet. There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome dining set, which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection, and a talking point with guests at meal times. Provenance: Collection of the late Mr Gladwyn Turbutt (1927 - 2025) Condition: In excellent condition, having been beautifully cleaned, polished, waxed and the chairs reupholstered in our workshops; please see photos for confirmation.
