The textile features Judith in richly colored period dress holding the head of Holofernes, with an attendant appearing in the background. The muted palette of burgundy, blue, ochre, cream, and olive gives the piece a wonderful Old World character.

The elaborate Florentine-style frame is decorated with pierced scrolling foliage and acanthus motifs, finished in warm aged gold with attractive patina throughout. Its small scale makes it particularly well suited for a collected gallery wall, bookshelf vignette, or layered traditional interior.

The frame displays age-related wear including rubbing, scratches, small cracks, and areas of gilt loss, all contributing to its antique-inspired character. The textile also shows age-related toning and wear. Please review photographs for condition details.
