Each figure is modeled in the traditional manner—one resting its paw upon a brocade ball, the other with a playful cub—symbolizing protection, strength, and harmony.

The expressive forms are enhanced by stylized curls, pronounced features, and a luminous glaze that shifts subtly under light, making them particularly effective as decorative accents in both traditional and contemporary interiors. Their bold color and compact scale make them ideal for console tables, bookshelves, or flanking a doorway.

Stamped “China” to the underside, these pieces likely date to the late 20th century and were produced for the export market, drawing on centuries-old motifs while embracing a more modern decorative palette.
