An elegant pair of Regency-style armchairs featuring beautifully shaped mahogany-toned frames with sweeping scroll arms, saber-form rear legs, and finely detailed turned and spiral-carved front legs.
The chairs are distinguished by dramatic black painted panels accented with gilt detailing and hand-painted Neoclassical motifs. Stylized floral medallions decorate the crest rails, while the central back splats feature urn-and-floral imagery framed within geometric borders. Additional painted decoration along the seat rails and front legs adds another layer of visual interest.
The open geometric backs and gracefully curved silhouettes give the chairs a light, architectural quality while retaining the formal character associated with Regency and Neoclassical furniture.
The chairs are currently upholstered in two different fabrics, making them excellent candidates for customization with a coordinating textile. They could work beautifully as host and hostess chairs, occasional chairs, desk chairs, or as statement seating flanking a console or fireplace.
Manufacturing label remains present beneath one chair.
Sold as a pair.

Frames show minor surface wear, small scratches, finish variation, and scattered marks consistent with previous use. Painted and gilt decoration remains attractive with some expected age-related wear. The two chairs are upholstered in different fabrics, as shown, and upholstery is being offered in its present condition. Structurally attractive and ready to use or customize. Our inventory features a curated selection of vintage furnishings and decorative pieces, each with its own character, history, and age-related imperfections. As vintage items, condition will naturally vary, and signs of previous use—including minor wear, marks, finish variations, or other imperfections—may be present. These characteristics are part of the individuality and history of each piece. Photographs are provided as an important visual reference for condition, and we encourage buyers to review all images carefully. We believe the beauty of vintage lies not only in its design, but also in the character acquired through a previous life. A single image has been digitally staged to showcase potential placement and styling. The remaining photographs provide the most accurate representation of the piece’s condition, finish, and overall character. less
