Each bookend features a beautifully detailed spread-wing eagle perched above arrows and an olive branch, with a Federal-style shield at the breast. Crisp cast detailing throughout the feathers, shield and foliage gives the pair wonderful sculptural presence, while the brass construction provides the weight expected of functional bookends.

The reverse has the original dark finish and is cast with the Virginia Metalcrafters maker’s mark. The aged brass finish is original.

A handsome pair for a library, office, mantel or collected interior, and especially appealing in Federal, Traditional, Neoclassical, Americana or Grandmillennial settings. See less
