Wegner for getama, was born from the danish designer's research into functional furniture, initially intended for classrooms and later also offered as an office desk. A minimalist design, it combines clarity of construction and practicality with quality woodwork. Crafted from oak, it features a large rectangular top supported by a linear structure with square legs and crosspieces. The suspended chest of drawers, located laterally beneath the top, includes two drawers with small cylindrical wooden handles; the lower drawer has a lock. The asymmetrical design leaves much of the space beneath the top free, making the structure of the piece immediately visible.
this piece retains the original "getama gedsted denmark – design hans j. Wegner" mark, which directly documents its designer and production. The "ge-125" model is a collaboration between wegner and getama, a danish company with which the designer developed numerous pieces of furniture starting in the 1950s, characterized by functionality, precision construction, and a careful use of materials.
