Highly decorated polychrome Delft covered vases by Royal Tichelaar, Friesland, the Netherlands.
Royal Tichelaar employs the traditional majolica technique, applying decoration onto the unfired tin glaze rather than beneath it. During firing, the pigments fuse slightly with the glaze surface, creating the soft, gently blurred outlines that are characteristic of this method.

Whether you are a collector of Dutch ceramics, a lover of traditional European craftsmanship, or searching for a distinctive gift, these vases are a striking example of the artistry for which Delftware is renowned. Its polychrome decoration complements both traditional and contemporary interiors.
