An excellent original Danish Mid Century Modern G Plan teak desk or vanity, from the Fresco range designed by V. B. Wilkins, 1966.
The desk is in excellent original condition, made from finely figured teak throughout and accented with afromosia wood handles and trim. The desk has five drawers, with a knee hole to sit to, raised on 'whale tail' legs and joined with a curved stretcher.
The Fresco range by G Plan was the most successful and enduring furniture collection in the history of the legendary furniture workshops. Launched in 1966, the collection was designed by V.B. Wilkins, it stylishly combined the clean lines of Scandinavian modernism with the bold, sculptural forms popular in Italian design.
Signed with the red eponymous G Plan detail to the inside of the drawer, the desk/vanity is in excellent condition and is ready to grace your space.
