** The abstract “dots” on this piece are an opaque WHITE against translucent white glass. (The dots tend to look grey in many of the photographs, but they are actually white.) **
Large and heavy vintage Henry Dean art glass centerpiece bowl. This hand blown studio piece features white opaque abstract “dots” encased in translucent white glass. The “white on white” effect is both simple and striking, and although the glass is very thick and heavy, the overall effect is graceful, and enhanced by the organic, flowing irregular silhouette. Very impressive piece in both design and craftsmanship.
