Lady Charmian is depicted as an elegantly dressed young woman carrying a basket overflowing with colorful flowers while holding a small bouquet in her raised hand. She wears a flowing blue-green/teal gown, coordinating bonnet and a striking hand-painted red shawl accented with rich blue, yellow and burgundy tones. Applied floral details on the basket and bouquet add dimension and wonderful visual interest.

The underside bears the Royal Doulton England bone china backstamp, printed “Lady Charmian” title and hand-painted HN 1948 model number. HN 1948 was designed by Leslie Harradine and was issued by Royal Doulton from approximately 1940 to 1973. Marks4Antiques
