The rectangular case is beautifully figured and detailed with fine contrasting string inlay and decorative banding around the edges. The front features a diamond shaped brass key escutcheon, while the lid is fitted with a period style oval metal carrying handle.

The caddy opens to reveal two fitted interior tea compartments, each retaining its individual wooden lid with a small brass knob. Raised on four brass paw feet, the case is further accented by brass ring handles at the sides. The combination of richly figured mahogany, delicate inlay and restrained brass fittings gives the piece a particularly handsome Regency era character. See less
