This vintage ceramic table lamp takes a classic baluster form, its bulbous body swelling generously before tapering into a gently stepped neck, all captured beneath a striking mercury-glass-style mirrored silver glaze. The chrome-toned finish reflects light and surroundings with near-mirror clarity, creating a dynamic, ever-shifting surface that catches color and shadow from its environment in a way that reads as genuinely luminous rather than simply metallic. Fine vertical ribbing radiates downward from the shoulder, interrupting the reflective glaze with subtle linear texture that adds dimensional interest and softens the otherwise seamless mirrored surface. The base is finished with a trio of horizontal ringed bands, echoing traditional ceramic lamp forms while reinforcing the piece's sculptural, architectural silhouette. A polished chrome lamp fitting crowns the vessel, including a cap, harp, and socket, all finished to complement the glossy body below. The mirrored glaze remains bright and highly reflective throughout, with only minor surface scuffs visible upon close inspection that confirm honest vintage handling without compromising the lamp's striking visual impact.
Place this lamp on a console, nightstand, or sideboard where its reflective surface can interact dynamically with ambient light and nearby decor. It complements Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, Contemporary, Postmodern, and Eclectic interiors. To care for it, dust with a soft dry cloth, avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the mirrored glaze, and have the wiring inspected by a professional before use if uncertain of its condition. Measurements: 20 inches wide, 20 inches deep, and 13 inches high. Condition is very good, with an original, well-preserved chrome finish and minor surface scuffs. Add this luminous sculptural lamp to your home lighting collection today.
