This impressive 8-piece set includes a tall matching decanter with fitted clear crystal stopper and seven full-size wine goblets. The rich ruby red crystal is intricately cut to reveal brilliant clear crystal beneath, creating Nierstein's distinctive combination of fan, starburst, crisscross and geometric cutting.

Each wine goblet features a flared ruby crystal bowl over a tall clear crystal stem. The stems are particularly elegant, with a geometric faceted knop and long angular faceted section leading to a round clear foot. The goblets measure approximately 8 1/8 inches tall, corresponding with the documented size of Nachtmann Nierstein wine stems.

The substantial matching decanter features a deep ruby crystal body with extensive cut-to-clear decoration, elongated vertical cuts extending up the neck, and a large faceted clear crystal stopper.

Nachtmann's Nierstein pattern was produced in Germany during the latter half of the 20th century and is prized for its dramatic ruby-over-clear coloration and traditional European cut-crystal workmanship.
