Decorated in the legendary Queen Victoria Green Border pattern, the vessel is adorned with vibrant floral peonies, delicate branching blossoms, and finely detailed butterflies reminiscent of traditional Chinese botanical artistry. The piece is structured as a double-spouted, double-handled serving dish sitting atop an integrated oval pedestal foot. The surface exhibits the signature basketweave embossed relief molding, enhanced with a crisp green line wash and highlighted by brilliant 24K yellow gold detailing along the scrolled handles and scalloped rim lines.

Styling:
This exquisite hand-painted piece functions beautifully beyond the formal holiday dinner table as an elegant decorative statement in a grandmillennial home. Consider styling it as a unique vanity dish on top of a bedroom dresser or a polished bamboo chest of drawers to corral delicate trinkets or fine jewelry. It makes a sophisticated statement when incorporated into a dining room sideboard vignette, displayed alongside coordinating traditional porcelain or silver tableware.

The Craftsmanship:
The historical Herend manufactory has maintained traditional hand-painting techniques since its founding in the nineteenth century. This specific vessel was manufactured during the 1960s to the 1980s, showcasing the high-quality craftsmanship of the mid-to-late twentieth-century vintage window. Every single element of this piece, from the dimensional basketweave texture to the fine gold linework, was completed entirely by hand by a single factory artisan. The underside features the official blue underglaze heraldic shield factory mark from this era, the pattern name identifier code 220 / VBO, and the unique hand-painted gilder number 150 which documents the specific studio decorator responsible for the gold accents.

Cleaning and Care Guide
To ensure the long-term preservation of the hand-painted enamel and genuine 24K gold decoration, this fine porcelain piece should only be hand washed. Use warm water paired with a mild, non-citrus liquid dish soap and a non-abrasive soft cloth or sponge. Do not place this vintage item in an automated dishwasher, and never use abrasive scrubbing powders or metal pads. Because of the precious metal gilding on the handles and rim, this vessel must never be placed inside a microwave oven. See less
