A warm ochre-gold glaze washes across roughly half the surface, its edge following an organic, cloud-like boundary that leaves the opposite side in soft, natural white stoneware. Concentric throwing rings radiate outward from the center, visible beneath both glaze zones, a hallmark of hand-thrown pottery that adds rhythmic texture and depth to the surface. Two dramatic passages of deep, reactive brown-black glaze pool across the composition, their mottled, crystalline surface texture contrasting sharply with the smoother ochre and white fields around them, almost resembling ink spilled across the plate or a geological formation.
