This vintage ceramic vessel takes a substantial, bulbous form, its rounded body swelling outward before narrowing to a short, gently flared neck and a simple rolled rim. A series of horizontal ridges encircle the body, articulating the vessel's shape into subtle tiers and adding tactile, sculptural rhythm to the surface. The glaze is richly variegated, moving from deep, smoky charcoal-green at the shoulder down through warm, earthy ochre and caramel tones toward the base, with the colors blending and overlapping in soft, cloudy transitions that read almost like a landscape. Dramatic drip marks cascade down the surface, pooling and streaking where the glaze ran during firing, creating organic vertical striations that highlight the artisan's hand and the unpredictable alchemy of the glazing process. Small flecks of exposed stoneware and subtle surface irregularities are visible throughout, further emphasizing the vessel's handmade, one-of-a-kind character. The overall effect is earthy, textural, and atmospheric, evoking natural forms like a weathered stone or an aged piece of fruit.
Display this vessel as a standalone sculptural piece on a console, floor, or pedestal, or use it to hold branches, dried florals, or pampas grass for a dramatic focal point. Its rich, earthy glaze suits Boho, Organic Modern, Japandi, Wabi-Sabi, and Eclectic interiors. The vessel measures approximately 12 inches wide, 12 inches deep, and 13 inches high. Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid submerging in water if used decoratively; if used as a functional vase, line with a plastic liner to protect the glaze from prolonged moisture exposure. The vessel is in very good vintage condition, with a rich, original glaze showing a naturally developed patina, minor surface irregularities, and glaze drips consistent with its handmade nature; there are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs, and the piece is structurally sound.
