This is a beautiful matching pair of decorative majolica plates featuring a vibrant, high-relief embossed design of two songbirds perched among grapevines, detailed green leaves, and clusters of yellow grapes. The central motif is set against a signature rich turquoise blue background with a distinctively sculpted basketweave pattern and a scalloped rim.

Overall good vintage condition displaying brilliant glaze and color retention typical of age.
One plate is entirely intact; the second plate features a small, shallow old chip tucked underneath the rim, which remains completely hidden from view when displayed flat or wall-mounted.
Very good antique condition consistent with age and use.
Please view all large photos as one plate has an old chip underneath the rim , invisible to the front See less
