Rare matched pair of John Hutton for Donghia Shell lounge chairs. Designed with Hutton’s signature sculptural approach, these chairs feature an elegant enveloping silhouette, dramatically curved arms, tapered legs and distinctive contrasting pink/purple piping.
This exceptional pair retains its original Donghia upholstery and original trim, an increasingly uncommon feature on vintage examples. The softly muted mauve/taupe upholstery complements the sculptural form beautifully, while the contrasting piping adds a distinctive pop of color.
A particularly uncommon opportunity to acquire a matched pair of the iconic Hutton Shell chairs with their original upholstery intact. Original Donghia labels are present to the undersides.
