The canvas is enclosed by a gilt wood frame with a gold-plated finish, while the frame’s subtle wood grain lends a rustic counterpoint to the portrait’s quiet formality. Its nostalgic character and visible age make it a compelling accent for a collected interior, library, dressing area, or gallery wall where authentic patina is part of the appeal.

Measuring 28 inches wide by 1 inch deep and 32 inches high, the painting has noticeable chipping and paint loss along the bottom edge, including a tear. The gilt frame shows significant age-related wear, with scratches and areas of finish loss, though it remains structurally sound. This piece would benefit from restoration; its distressed surface and original character will appeal to collectors who value the evidence of time and use. See less
