Early 20th-century Columbia Bicycles salesman and educational display assembled by The Westfield Manufacturing Co. of Westfield, Massachusetts. The framed presentation contains an assortment of bicycle components and manufacturing samples mounted against a dark fabric-covered backing, including sprockets, fork and frame fittings, bearing components, seat post hardware, rubber mountings, and a Columbia-branded enamel sample. Individual components are accompanied by small handwritten or typed identification labels secured beneath the corresponding examples. Mounted with staples and wire within a wood frame, the display provides an unusual surviving record of Columbia bicycle construction, materials, and component offerings during the 1920s and 1930s.
