The chair features a deeply shaped wooden seat and broad plank backrest, both secured with prominent hand-forged iron nails that contribute to its robust architectural aesthetic. Scrolled armrests soften the otherwise angular construction, while carved panel details on the supports add subtle decorative refinement.

The front stretcher is adorned with carved rosettes flanking a shield-shaped cartouche, a traditional Spanish motif that lends the piece a heraldic quality. The warm patina, visible grain patterns, and honest signs of wear enhance its rustic appeal and reflect decades of use.

Blending vernacular Spanish craftsmanship with the bold, primitive forms associated with Brutalist design, this armchair serves equally well as a functional seat or a sculptural accent piece in Mediterranean, rustic, wabi-sabi, or contemporary interiors.

Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear, patina, minor surface marks, and natural variations in the wood consistent with age and use. See less
