The architectural form is embellished with an applied brass laurel-leaf-and-berry garland, sculptural lion-mask mounts, pyramidal finials and slender crossed-brass stretchers centered by a geometric medallion.

Two inset glass surfaces provide generous space for display while preserving the console’s open, visually light appearance. The dramatic combination of deep green verdigris, warm aged brass and transparent glass gives the piece a sophisticated Old World character with strong Neoclassical, Empire and Hollywood Regency influences.

An impressive statement piece for an entry hall, living room or dining room, equally suited to traditional, Palm Beach, Hollywood Regency or eclectic interiors.

Circa 1980s. Maker unknown; the design and craftsmanship are reminiscent of Maitland-Smith. Presented in attractive vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and patination consistent with its age and use. See less
