An elegant little accent table with intricate floral decoration, warm amber wood tones, and a graceful silhouette.
he shaped top features a central floral medallion surrounded by scrolling foliage and a densely stippled background. This contrasting decoration appears to be executed in pyrography, also known as pokerwork, a technique that creates designs by burning the wood’s surface.
A matching decorated lower shelf echoes the scalloped outline of the top, making the table attractive from above as well as across a room. Four slender, outward-curving legs with linear edge detailing give the piece an airy presence.
Combining Art Nouveau curves with the decorative charm of antique folk art, this distinctive table would sit beautifully beside an armchair, in a reading corner, or as a small display stand for ceramics and collected treasures. The lower tier provides an additional surface while preserving the open silhouette.
