Each ostrich egg is exquisitely embellished with a rhythmic pattern of elongated, gently undulating gilded bands, alternating with delicate raised rows of tiny bead-like ornamentation. The flowing lines follow the natural curvature of the egg, creating a richly textured surface with an elegant sense of movement.

The eggs are mounted on elaborate gilt-brass sculptural bases, each featuring a finely worked ornamental form and crowned with a distinctive arrangement of stylized pineapple leaves, evoking the glamour and exuberance of Hollywood Regency.

The combination of the natural ostrich egg, intricate gilded detailing and sculptural brass mounts makes this pair a particularly decorative and sophisticated example of Dupuy’s work.
