Rich in character and displaying a beautifully aged surface, this piece combines practical functionality with sculptural presence.

Crafted in hammered copper with brass accents, the vessel retains its distinctive coal scuttle form, featuring a sweeping funnel-shaped top and an elegant curved handle. The body is adorned with embossed figural decoration depicting two standing figures in period dress, adding narrative charm and artisanal detail to the design. The relief work stands out beautifully against the warm copper patina developed through decades of use.

Originally intended for storing and transporting coal beside a fireplace, the piece has found new life as an umbrella stand, walking stick holder, or decorative floor vessel. Its unusual form and rich texture make it an eye-catching accent in rustic, country house, eclectic, or traditional interiors.

The combination of hand-worked copper, embossed decoration, and authentic age gives this object a warmth and personality that modern decorative accessories seldom achieve.

Good antique condition with a beautiful aged patina and wear consistent with age and use. See less
