The substantial bowl has a clean, sculptural profile with thick walls and rows of suspended bubbles that create wonderful depth and movement within the glass. The warm amber color shifts in intensity as light passes through the heavy body, emphasizing both the bubbles and the form.

The underside is finished with a highly polished base, reflecting the careful hand-finishing associated with quality mid-century studio and Italian art glass production.

The controlled-bubble technique, weight, form and polished base are consistent with mid-century Italian and Murano glassmaking traditions; however, the piece is unsigned and no definitive maker or country of origin has been established. It is therefore offered without a speculative attribution.

A particularly handsome piece displayed on a coffee table, console or shelf, where the thick amber glass and suspended bubbles can catch the light.
