A pair of French wrought-iron andirons from the 1930s, well-scaled with a grounded presence.
Each is formed with a vertical standard topped by a rounded finial, the iron worn to a dark, matte patina. At the base, subtle shaping nods to traditional ironwork, while the horizontal supports extend back in a direct, functional line.
Designed to cradle burning logs, their structure is sturdy and straightforward, with just enough detail to give them presence at the hearth.
Condition: In very good vintage condition, with a natural patina throughout the iron, consistent with age and use.
