An Austrian floor mirror from the 1910s, reflecting the period of the Vienna Secession and its distinctive interpretation of Art Nouveau. Tall and narrow in proportion, the piece is designed for the entryway.
The warm-toned wooden frame rises in an architectural outline, culminating in a softly arched crest accented by an oval cutout and delicate linear detailing, motifs characteristic of the Secessionist balance between ornament and structure. The elongated mirror panel emphasizes the piece’s height, reflecting light while enhancing the sense of space in a hallway or foyer.
Below, a small integrated seat and discreet storage compartment provide practical utility, offering a place to sit while removing shoes and a concealed space for everyday essentials.
Condition: This mirror is in great vintage condition, with minor surface marks and indentations consistent with age. It has been fully refinished by our restoration team. For stability, we recommend securing or supporting the piece against a wall.
