This primitive armless sewing rocker (or nursing chair) features a beautifully contoured solid oak plank seat, slender hand-turned spindles, and a gorgeous pressed-back floral crest rail. The underside reveals fascinating, historic "make-do" iron bracket repairs to the seat plank—a beautiful testament to its long heritage and historic utility. Despite its primitive age and character wear, this chair is exceptionally well-built. It remains entirely rock-solid to sit in, completely functional, and does not squeak or wobble.
