The asymmetric single-pedestal layout features an open left side on slender dark gray legs and a three-drawer pedestal on the right, with horizontal bar pulls in a lighter metal finish. Gispen's manufacturer badge is visible on the pedestal. Produced in the Netherlands during the late 1950s to early 1960s.

The 'Kleuro' office furniture line was Gispen's deliberate exploration of color in the workplace, drawing on the flat, primary-adjacent palette associated with the Dutch De Stijl movement. The pairing of blue drawer fronts and writing surface against the neutral gray frame reflects that color-as-structure approach: color is not decorative accent but compositional element. Gispen, founded in Rotterdam in 1916, became one of the Netherlands' most influential manufacturers of industrial and office furniture, known for rigorous construction and engagement with modernist design principles.

Shows wear consistent with age and use, in original condition.
