Manufactured during the mid-20th century, this heavy, high-quality statement piece balances classic Victorian revival grandeur with timeless functional elegance.
The dish features a deeply scalloped, wide rim lavishly decorated with ornate baroque-style floral arrangements, scrolling foliage, and acanthus leaf motifs. It rests securely on three elegantly cast rococo scroll feet. The matching domed lid is crowned with a beautifully detailed, hollow-carved crown finial handle that makes serving a dramatic, seamless experience.
Stamped on the underside with the official makers' mark: "W&S Blackinton Since 1865, 194, E.P. ON B.S., White Metal." This indicates top-tier electroplating over a premium, sturdy Britannia white metal base, giving it a substantive weight and a brilliant, highly reflective luster.
A gorgeous heirloom-quality addition to any formal buffet, traditional dining room collection, or grand millennial tablescape. See less
