The chairs feature an unusually elaborate construction, with broad sculptural rolled arms, a gracefully curved and enveloping backrest, and a rich combination of traditional wickerwork techniques.

Open diamond latticework alternates with vertical cane elements and tightly woven sections, while braided borders emphasize the generous, flowing lines of the chairs.

The large rolled arms are among the most distinctive features of the design. Finely woven, they terminate in prominent scroll-like forms that give the chairs their particularly sculptural character. The lower section is equally decorative, with elegant open diamond latticework extending between the four legs.
