The lower section retains the raw, textured material of dark brown, grogged stoneware, as if to remind us of the earth's origins. The domed, pebble-shaped lid is covered with a mottled reddish-brown glaze, interspersed with pretty drips of green glaze—a mineral, almost natural effect that embodies the charm of this era when ceramics rediscovered poetry. The overall effect exudes a wabi-sabi aesthetic, organic and soothing, perfect for a windowsill, shelf, or coffee table.

The pot is antique and in beautiful condition.
