Freestanding teak desk designed by peter hvidt & orla mølgaard-nielsen in 1959 and produced by søborg møbelfabrik, denmark, during the 1960s.
a particularly architectural design combining warm teak with a slender dark metal frame and small solid teak feet.
the suspended cabinet contains four drawers with traditional dovetail joinery and an integrated pull-out writing tray lined with green felt.
the restrained construction gives the desk a remarkably light appearance, with the drawer cabinet appearing to float beneath the desktop.
documented in the søborg møbler catalogue, 1967.
