Antique American late-Victorian oak washstand. Features a rectangular top surface crowned by a stylized, stepped wooden splashback designed to protect walls from water basins. The cabinet body is configured with two stacked drawers over a spacious lower double-door commode compartment, all displaying prominent native oak graining. The drawer fronts are adorned with ornate, darkened cast metal bale-pull hardware with decorative backplates, while the right-side cabinet door retains its small wooden turn-latch knob. Architectural details include fluted mock-pilaster trim framing the front corners, a scalloped lower apron, and short straight legs. The unfinished back panels reveal authentic period plank construction with faint stamped stenciling, highlighting its history as a functional piece of late 19th furniture.
