It opens from both sides of the cage front and back I have decorative balls just hanging inside. The possibilities are endless! It would look stunning with a few different sized candles, and some Moody Jewel tone colors. this bird cage has been in my family for several decades it still has the original paperwork with it it has been stored in my shop. It has a little dust on it and it's never been restored so you could easily put a metal grade paint on it like onyx, amethyst, sapphire or emerald green. it's in great condition it's a very sturdy piece.
