A striking mid-century modern hand-blown studio art glass vide-poche (trinket bowl), executed in a vibrant cranberry or magenta hue. The low, wide-shouldered silhouette features a dynamic, diagonal white ribbon swirl or "peppermint" trailing pattern that radiates beautifully from the base.
Craftsmanship & Details
This exceptional piece showcases excellent craftsmanship with a substantial weight and rich color saturation. The interior look reveals a clean, fire-polished pontil mark on the underside, confirming its authentic hand-blown heritage. Reminiscent of classic French Verrerie de Clichy and Murano styles, this versatile vessel serves as a sophisticated catchall, a low rose bowl, or a standalone sculptural statement piece for a coffee table, console, or vanity. Brian Higer original.
