Original etching and pastel by California-born artist Deslie Guthrie, titled “Bird’s Eye View” and created in 1998 in Puxi, China.

This work is an Artist’s Proof (AP), hand-signed “Deslie” by the artist and titled along the lower margin.

Deslie Guthrie received an A.A. in Fashion Design from FIDM Los Angeles in 1979 and a B.F.A. in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1987. She later studied abroad in Paris, France, and China. Guthrie resides in Downtown Los Angeles and has been a RAW Artists artist since 2011.

Guthrie works in paper, watercolor collage, pastel, and mixed-media techniques, including combinations of etching and pastel. She has described printmaking as a way to create multiple images while reinterpreting an idea in different ways.
