The frame dates to approximately the 1920s–1930s. The frame features an elegant, sinuous silhouette with a distinctive multi-lobed structure. The front is entirely covered in goatskin, while the reverse is finished with finely worked paper. The back slides open smoothly, allowing the photograph to be easily inserted. This exceptional frame has a unique character and has been carefully conserved to preserve its original charm. The goatskin has been gently cleaned, while the reverse has undergone conservative restoration. In particular, the original ribbon that supports the frame when opened and displayed on a flat surface was hand-stitched and glued by an artisan. A unique and highly elegant piece, combining refined materials, artisanal craftsmanship, and the understated sophistication of early 20th-century Italian design.
