The composition presents elegantly dressed figures in a formal garden, framed by monumental trees, architectural elements, flowers and richly detailed drapery. The sophisticated palette of soft rose, ivory, sage green, ochre, gold and muted blue gives the tapestry an exceptionally delicate and painterly appearance. What makes this piece particularly remarkable is the extraordinarily fine quality of the weaving.
