The Antonibon factory, a renowned name in ceramics, was founded in 1728 by Giovanni Battista Antonibon and continued by his son Pasquale, thanks to whom it achieved fame and fortune. Originally a majolica factory, it soon began experimenting with porcelain, which has been produced regularly since 1762.

The "baroque fruit" decoration represents a popular ceramic style, whose table decorations and coats of arms feature fruit alongside small animals such as lizards and snails. The very white enamel, which accompanies and makes the shapes stand out in a clean and cheerful way, together with the stylistic refinement of the decorations, are the distinctive features of the Antonibon manufacture.
