A romantic French pastoral scene brings color and movement to this vintage wall tapestry. Elegantly dressed figures gather beside a boat in a wooded landscape, rendered in warm cream, muted green, rose, and earthy brown tones. Decorative wooden rods at the top and bottom give the piece a finished look, and the hanging cord makes it ready to display.
The reverse is marked “Made in France.” An estimated a mid 20th century date, approximately the 1950s–1970s; the exact year and maker are unknown. Its old-world imagery works especially well in a French Country, French Provincial, traditional, or layered eclectic interior, whether displayed above a console, in a dining room, or along a staircase.
