No Frame
It depicts a serene rural landscape featuring a watermill positioned on a river bank surrounded by dense, soft-focused trees. In the foreground, a small cluster of ducks floats on the calm, reflective water.
Robert Crannell Minor (1839–1904), a prominent member of the American Barbizon School and Tonalist movement. The piece showcases the atmospheric, moody, and nature-focused style popularized by French Barbizon etchers like Daubigny and Corot, who heavily influenced Minor during his studies in Europe.
