Each plate features a different romantic putti/cherub scene surrounded by an ivory porcelain ground, delicate gilt detailing and an elaborate molded Rococo-style border. The four coordinating but individually illustrated scenes make the set particularly lovely displayed together on a wall, in a china cabinet, or incorporated into a French-inspired tablescape.

The reverse bears the T&V France bell mark associated with Tressemanes & Vogt of Limoges, France, along with a “Souvenir T&V France” mark.

Dating to approximately the early 20th century, these have the wonderfully ornate character associated with antique Limoges porcelain.
