Created with a distinctive bulbous shape with high gloss chocolate brown glaze topped by a domed, tiered "beehive" lid finished in lighter brown drip glaze. The jars retain their original gold decorative labels -- Polish for majeranek (marjoram), cynamon (cinnamon), papryka (paprika), and goździki (cloves). Their distinctive silhouettes and typography make them as appealing for display as they are evocative of an old European kitchen.

Similar in aesthetic to the well-known wares of Pruszków Ceramics, a legacy pottery works founded in 1872 in a town of the same name but no maker's marks are detected on these pieces.

Dimensions: 3.25"w x 2.13"d x 5"h (w/ lid), 3.25" (w/o lid).

Condition: very good vintage condition w/ vibrant colors, no cracks, no crazing, no scratches. Cinnamon jar has a 1/8" chip along the inner rim which is hidden in use and cannot be seen when the lid is on. They display beautifully.
