A beautiful pair of vintage French Louis XV–style bergère armchairs featuring gracefully shaped exposed wood frames, generous proportions, and elegant caned backs. The frames have a warm, naturally aged finish that beautifully highlights the carved floral details, molded edges, scrolling arms, and classic cabriole legs.
Each chair features a tall, gently curved cane back framed by carved wood, with upholstered arm pads and generously cushioned seats. The chairs are upholstered in a fresh pale green and ivory damask-style woven fabric, providing a soft contrast to the richly patinated wood.
The combination of delicate caning, carved details and relaxed upholstery gives this pair the collected European character that works beautifully in French Country, Louis XV, Traditional, English Country, Grandmillennial, and European-inspired interiors.

The only notable flaw is that one of the sides of a single seat cushion cover has faded a little. I guess this was the chair positioned by the window and was exposed to more sunlight. Please see photos for comparison. All cane is intact and both chars are strong and sturdy. If you are planning to reupholster, the seat cushions are still very firm and can be reused. less
