This is a vintage round gallery tray featuring a woven metal lattice surround and substantial faux-bamboo handles and trim. Originally silver plated over copper, metal, the finish has naturally worn over time to reveal warm copper hues beneath, creating a beautiful layered mixed-metal patina.
The open basket-weave gallery is constructed from interlaced strips and framed with bamboo-inspired detailing, giving the piece a sophisticated Hollywood Regency and Chinoiserie influence. Decorative pseudo-hallmark-style cartouches appear on both handles.
The laminate center provides a dark contrast to the aged metallic finish and makes this an especially attractive tray for a bar, coffee table, ottoman, or displayed with a collection of decanters.
The tray measures 15” handle to handle.
The inside surface measures 11.75”.
