The 19th century Spanish Renaissance walnut desk is a splendid example of the breed, with classical architecture enhanced by hand-carved reliefs in an abstract expression of the Renaissance style. Four carved columns representing the lords form the main legs. Three full-width bronze-pull drawers appear on one side, with carvings around the entire apron, making it ideal for placing in the center of the room.
The table has impressive bronze supports on the legs and sides.
It's really a beautiful piece
circa 1860.
This elegant fruit wood desk was created in Spain, circa 1900. Made of light walnut wood, the large desk rests on four carved legs with two iron stretchers. The front and the back have a wide opening with plenty of room for the knees and the front is adorned with three very wide drawers. The Renaissance style desk has ornate bronze hardware, seen around the entire desk and on its bronze claw-shaped legs. The desk is in excellent condition and has a rich light walnut patina. Not only is this classic Renaissance desk useful, it would make a beautiful statement placed in the middle of a study or library because it has carved front and back (pictures).
